As of mid-2025, Musk stands as the world’s richest man, with a net worth fluctuating around $240 billion, according to Forbes and Bloomberg Billionaires Index. But who is this man, what does he do, and what challenges has he faced along the way? Let’s take a deeper look.


Who Is Elon Musk?

Elon Musk is a South African-born American entrepreneur, inventor, and business magnate. He is the CEO and lead product architect of Tesla Inc., the CEO and chief engineer of SpaceX, the owner of X (formerly Twitter), the founder of Neuralink, and the mind behind The Boring Company. Musk is also involved in several futuristic ventures like xAI (an artificial intelligence company) and Starlink (a satellite internet provider under SpaceX).
